Message I’m writing you today to express support for The Rebound Act. California set the bar for the nation when it passed the SB 678 probation reform in 2009. I encourage you to build on this success by applying the same rewards model to California parole departments. If we hold our parole departments accountable for actually rehabilitating people on parole, we’ll make our communities safer and save hundreds of millions of dollars for the state over the next decade. In my opinion The Rebound Act is the most important criminal justice reform being debated in the legislature.
